Country Christmas Shelf

Remember I showed you the Pinterest photo I found of this cute little shelf....

Well, here is our version of NoEL
The perfect spot on my wee mantel above the stove.
I may keep my eye open for a little larger letter {E}
but, all in all I am pleased with this little vignette

Country Christmas

I was able to get the windows above the stairwell decorated this week end and I am really pleased with how they turned out!  Thanks to {Thistlewood Farms} for the inspiration, be sure to check out this wonderful blog!  I am keeping it simple this year, and of course love the burlap, silver, gold theme with just a bit of a vibrant shiny green mixed in.

This little board is just at the back entry and when I saw these cute little Merry Christmas banners at Michaels I knew just the spot for them.  There were some already stamped with Merry Christmas and then I stamped the rest with some Christmas stamps that I have.   The tree, star and bird ornament are from one of the many Christmas trees that Leanne has at the {General Store}

I have lots of wreaths, simple and country like

A wee baby came to give us {HOPE}

Have a great week everyone!

Some Christmas projects on the go.....

I think I will start getting the house ready for the holiday season.  I found this cute idea on Pinterest and think I will give it a try for my wee shelf that I have in the kitchen.  It will be perfect and seems pretty simple.

As found on Pinterest

Another inspiration for this year came from one of my favorite blogs

As you can see I am leaning towards the burlap, rustic look this year.
I like it!!  and with odds n ends from the {Country Chic wedding} we
celebrated this year,  I think I can pull it off.

How about you, are you trying some new things with your decorating this year.

Stay tuned for my version of the above!

A step back in time to The General Store

My friend, Leanne, is the owner of a quant little gift shop called The General Store.   She has just relocated her business to her dream location and she is busy getting it all decked out for the holidays.

An old Eaton Catalogue house is where you will find all things country!

Leanne and I go way back to 1995!  She was one of my many artisan and crafters that helped to fill the shelves at our little shop, That Country Place.   We share the love of country decor, small business ventures, renovating, scrapbooking, and family,,,,,just to name a few things.  I wish her all the best in her new location and if you are ever in the Drumheller area, be sure to look up The General Store!

Just a few things from her great displays.
Christmas trees, vintage decor, snowmen,
scrapbook supplies, candles, sweet treats,
and more....

I had fun shopping from this tree ...stay tuned to see what I chose!

You can find The General Store on Facebook

Photo Challenge - TREES

Time for another photo challenge over at Donna's, be sure to check out the other people who are sharing their photos this week!

I really like trees and I guess since I have grown up on the prairies, I really like "lone trees" against the vast prairie sky.

Most of the trees are bare as we have had some strong winds.  We got some fall clean up done with raking leaves up.  I don't really like the bare landscape, and look forward to some snow to cover up the drab colors.  Although, in Souther Alberta we don't seem to get as much snow.

This was one of my favorite shots just taken with my Iphone.
This row of trees is on the grounds of the community college.

This is a tree in our yard, i took this shot last winter.

Collage made in Picmonkey

This little tree, which is a sour cherry tree of some sort, was the last to have its leaves change color.
It was a foggy morning when I took this picture, just a few days ago.

This is the same little tree in a photo I took last year.
Had some fun editing it in Picmonkey

There is a coulee just a mile or so from our property.  This lone tree stands on the edge of it.
Oh how I would love to have a house built on the edge of this coulee!

Here it is right out of the camera

And with some editing fun

I even brought some of Mother Natures color into my kitchen this year.

Have a great week end everyone and be sure to check out the other pictures at the party.

Filling up some empty spaces in country style

Just another picture on my wee autumn display that I have on my rangehood shelf.  It wasn't quite complete, so I had Mother Nature help me out!  You can see some of the other fall decor I
came up with this fall {here}

It just needed some more height and some filling in.
So hanging leaves and a hunk of fence post fixed it up.

Much better..

Happy Fall Ya'll
