Personal Photo Challenge : FOOD and Happy Thanksgiving !!

Did a quick photo shoot with a piece of pumpkin loaf!!  How is that for an exciting subject!  Found out that food is a pretty hard subject to capture! and those magazines make it look so easy.

Hope you enjoy the pumpkin photo shoot and please check out the other pictures posts at the Photo Challenge hosted by Donna.

No secret recipe here though, this moist loaf is just from a box and you can find it at your nearest Costco.  I will also add chocolate chips to this recipe, a quick lunch favorite for work.

Mosaic Monday Post:

We have been doing some landscaping here this weekend, had some good friends visit for the day yesterday and enjoyed a ham supper for the holiday.  Will see if any of my tablescape pictures turned out and will post them later.  Tomorrow my nephew and his cute little family are coming out for brunch and then I am taking some family pictures for them.  The weather has been beautiful here this week end.  So much to be thankful for and God is Good!

Your pumpkin loaf looks yummy! Even though the second shot doesn't have a lot of color, I like it best. Maybe it's all the texture that makes it so appealing. Nice photos!

Thank you for joining us on the challenge, Dawna! Gosh, it looks like you have a flair for stylizing! The old polaroid frame is cute as a button. It's terrific how you put up fall-related props behind the first one and really set off the slices with a complimentary fall napkin. And the slices tucked into a bevy of props on the second one is just fabulous. With a brown subject, you knew to bring color and textures into both photographs for some visual zing. Great job! I hope that you will participate in future challenges too!

I think you did a fine job with these photos. I used to work for a magazine that did food photo shoots and - believe me - you would NOT want to eat the food they photographed. I'm sure everything in your photos is REAL and edible. :))

What fun! A photo challenge! Your Pumpkin Loaf looks delicious. I like the second photo, the lighting looks great and the colors are clear. Not that I know anything about photography, only what I've read (the 3 rule thing):)
