Off to college..
He is excited, apprehensive, scared, unsure, glad to be independant, ready to leave home and not ready to leave home.....a whirlwind of emotions! All normal parts of growing up, but it can be hard to watch them go through it all. I love you Benny and you are going to be just fine!! I know God has big plans for you and all you have to do is trust and know that you have great potential!! We are proud of you and the decisions you have had to make this past week. Remember what I told you before I left, "Don't doubt in the dark what God has revealed to you in the light."
My Barn Charm photo for this week was one that I took on a trip to Drumheller. Drumheller is in the heart of the Canadian Badlands and the river valley is very unique. This little red barn is nestled right up along the hillside. I hope you like the edits I did with it.
Little barn in the valley..
Have a great week,,,,I guess what is left of it, everyone!!

I love that barn! I know there are reasons for it (probably weather related), but it's cool butted up against the cliff side like that.
Love the editing that you did to the photo. :-)
Congrats to your son. :-)

Some weeks are like that. Love the barn and your edits, particularly the center photo. It looks so intense.
Congratulations to your son - it takes time to adjust.
That's such an awesome barn photo.
Good luck to Ben! (Good Luck to the Empty Nesters too...I don't even want to think about that!) lol
Hi Dawna,
What a handsome son & fantastic shot of the two of you together! =)
When your page loaded & I took my 1st look at the top barn pic, I thought the rock wall in the background was a texture... WoW! They really built it close, didn't they! LoL! They're all great & very colorful, I love that bright red
Thanks a bunch for joining this week's Barn Charm & have a great week, too... =)))
Aaaah, that's a lovely shot of you two together. It must be a moment of very mixed feelings when your youngest leaves the nest. A kind of bitter sweet excitement.
I hope you enjoy every minute of the extra freedom it will give you - and that your little birds come flying home often!

oh I am not ready to be an empty nester!
Good luck! ...and love the barn edits!
Love the barn edits.. The colors stand out so bright..
love your second edit! The red really pops! :)
Beautiful shots! I love the first edit of the barn for the color and composition. Thank you for sharing!
I read somewhere that kids are "trying" as teenagers so that we aren't too too sad to see them go when it's time for college. I hope you're enjoying your empty nest for a bit! thanks for showing off your shot as well!
Love the barn photos! It looks so small against that rock behind it. Now, here's a small world moment. My niece goes to Briarcrest and she mentioned on facebook tonight (Sept. 10) that she is going to see the band The Social Threat. She is an amazing singer herself and has just made her first EP CD. Enjoy your empty nest. Blessings, Pamela
An empty nester? Oh, that must feel so different. How exciting for you son though to be on the brink of so many new experiences.
I love your barn edit. What a great photo :)
