It is sold wood and I liked the little detail of the circle on the top. I purchased some van Gogh chalk paint ( Chalk White) and thought I would give this chalk paint craze a try! I think it turned out okay for my first attempt!
BEFORE
AFTER
I like how the distressing turned out on the seat, but I am not too sure about the legs?
Check out my niece, Heidi's, blog and her little business venture called Rustic Barnyard.
Here is a link to her Facebook Page
This little stool will be great for my little niece and nephews when they need to
stand at the counter to help with "cookin up" something in the kitchen, or as a nice little spot
to rest a coffee cup or book. I think it is a keeper!

It turned out just beautiful!I love the circle on the seat and the M you added, great job!
Love it! You did a great job. I may have to look for a little stool like that. My grandkids always pull up a chair to help me make cookies and such. This would work for that purpose.
The stool looks wonderful! Great job. Stools like this are so handy for little ones who want to help.
I love your little stool and the chalk paint came out beautifully. I actually put an old black painted stool by a chair in the living room to sit magazines on or a cup of tea. It was my grammie's from her kitchen so it's special to me. Stool's come in handy for lots of things.
Awesome, the makeover is fantastic. Great job.
Your new stool looks very pretty, and I love how you have personalized it. I am sure that it will have lots of use in your home! xx
A lovely makeover. The chalk white looks wonderful. Great job! Enjoy your week ahead!
It will work nicely for the future sous chefs!
Great job! I thought the stool looked good before but the after is so much better! I have a few projects I will so this spring thanks for the idea.
What a score! You've made it look oh so pretty. Love the monogram.
Hi Dawna, thanks so much for leaving me a comment on my Mudroom. I tried to reply directly to the comment but you came up as a non reply blogger. Thanks...Christine from Little BRags
That really looks good! I think you've done the perfect amount of distressing, and time will add its own patina.
How absolutely darling! I haven't heard about Van Gogh chalk paint. Do tell.
