I find that I take quite a break from blogging during January, February and into March....but I have been checking up on what some of you have all been doing! I have to admit as well, that I am still having some adjustments to being an empty nester and having married sons.....a new season for me and I may be like Mother Nature,,,,not knowing how to make my mind up about it all!! Seasons of life and definately one that I have to walk a little closer to the One who knows all things!
I have started putting some ideas together for bring some spring time into the house. I bought some new throw pillows and have used them as a "springboard" for bringing some color into the fireplace area.
Some pretty blues and yellows to brighten things up!

I love how it is just the right size for the fireplace area.
I am working on the fireplace mantel. It is such a large mantel and since I am so stuck on having the sides balanced it is taking some time!! and I find that I have to buy 2 of everything!! Thank goodness for some awesome sales at Michaels this past week. Some great 2 for 1 deals! Stay tuned!

You made me giggle, Dawna. Your mantel problems are mine exactly! It's such a big mantel it's hard to fill, I'm obsessed with symmetry & I always want two of everything! lol

Blue and yellow is such a great combination. Love that bright pillow on the chair. And the wash stand is a wonderful piece. I hope spring comes quickly to your corner of the globe.
