A BIG COOK!

I enjoy working in my kitchen and all the room it provides...

Remember what it looked like {Before}

This is what it looks like all cleaned up and just sittin pretty like....

And this is what it looks like when the Motzs do a BIG COOK!

Grandma and Grandpa came for a visit and we made a big batch of perogies.

Everyone got in on the assembly line...

Lots of hand made the work go quick!

At the end of the Big Cook,  we enjoyed Hungarian Goulash that Florian made and of course
a whole bunch of perogies!  4 families took home about 3 dozen perogies each.
We will meet again when we need to replenish the freezer!

Here is the recipe using a potatoe mix for the dough:

 4 cups flour
3 cups cooled mashed potaotes
1 1/2 tsp salt
4 eggs ( beat before adding them to the dough)

For the filling we mixed togethere
bacon, cheddar cheese, mashed potatoes, onion and dry cottage cheese

That is one beautiful and big kitchen. I guess you need lots of space when the family gets together for a big cook. I bet those perogies tasted great too!

Beautiful! Love the white cupboards with the grey countertop... Can I ask what kind of countertop you chose?

Hi Erin...sorry it took me a little bit to find the info you were asking about. Countertop is Formica 180fx
and the color/pattern is Soapstone Sequoia

Love the kitchen! Looks fantastic. We have an island in our house currently that is very similar to your old island and I can't wait until we can re-do it. It's top on my list! Thanks for sharing your kitchen with us.
