Through the Garden Gate

Mosaic Monday is here again and I thought I would share my latest junk store find...this old metal garden gate!  Now, I just have to find a place to put it.  :)  I only paid $12 for it and was very happy with my find!  I was having fun doing some editing in Picnik again....hope you like what I came up with.

I like the way the metal is kind of peeling and rustic looking.

When I find the perfect spot for my garden gate I will take another picture to share with you.

Have a great week everyone and thanks for stopping by the country!

Be sure to check out more mosaics at Little Red House

Oh, my mother would have loved it. She was a treasure finder and would take home some of the most forgotten of things, nurture them and share every bit of what she saw them to be. I'd like to see that picture when you find the right spot :)

Hi Dawna
I like the gate, anything metal attracts me like a magnet. :-) We have lots of black wrought iron out the front but many of the things out the back I paint lavender (of course) and pastel shades of green.
Thanks for inviting me to see your mosaics, I'll give Picnik a try.

I have my grandparent's garden gate at my home. My brother and I had to dig out the posts that were set in cement when my mom and dad took down the fence. It was a lot of work for two kids. ♥♫

What a great find. I see them here on the Island from time to time, but they are waaaaaay more than $12!

Yay!! I have figured out how to comment on your blog!! If I use the firefox web browser, it lets me comment!!

Anyway...Love your garden gate find!! Soo cute!! And you asked me where I was doing all of my editing on the pictures I was taking...looks like you have already gone to the right place!! I use picnik as well!! As far as making the eyes pop a little more...part of it is just making sure your lighting is right when you take the picture & then I use the "eye bright" feature on picnik to make them stand out a bit more!! Its a premium feature that you have to pay to use, but the prices are super reasonable! You also get access to a lot of other touch-up features like airbrushing, blemish removal, etc.

Beautiful pics my friend!! Hope you are having a great week!!
