Favorite projects from 2015

Happy New Year everyone!!  We have enjoyed a quiet Christmas this year....it was a little different as Kaleb, Jami, and Oliver headed to Saskatchewan to celebrate with her family this year.  We did an early supper with them on the 21st and then enjoyed Christmas Day just down the lane at my niece's home.  Our son Ben, Darrell's brother and wife, nieces and nephews all enjoyed Mike and Melissa's hospitality!

Coffee creations were the theme for Christmas presents this year.  Darrell created a coffee crate for KnJ and made 3 trays for gifts as well.  I ordered the stencils from Funky Junk and will look forward to using them over and over....

Darrell also made some wooden chargers for KnJ to use on their glass table top.

We made some trays for the coffee lovers in our family

As well as a Hot Cocoa one that turned out nicely too.

My JOY sign for some outdoor decorating was a quick project!

Darrell completed some fun recycled projects to bring some holiday cheer to the office

Lunch served in the hayloft on a beautiful autumn day was a highlight!

Darrell got a harvest table built for the Outside room that we have enjoyed this year.

The Room Without a Roof was a favorite spot to spend long
summer evenings with family and friends.

That is 2015 in a quick re cap and here is to looking forward to what
DIY adventures await us in 2016.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Some more Country Christmas

The calendar days are slipping away and only 2 more days until Christmas!!  We have had a very busy month of December and have enjoyed alot of company!  Good conversation, food, games, laughter and enjoying what the season is all about, sharing with others.

Here are some more pictures of Christmas around our home.

We bought a new table and chairs at Thanksgiving!
The old chairs were just worn out ! The table made its way into
storage up to the hayloft.  Here are a few shots from the dining area.

I just hung some pretty ornaments from the chandy tonight...
I think it fills the space it and gives it a little sparkle!

Have a wonderful day!

I will be back one more time with a wrap up!!

Country Christmas Part 1

Well, I have been taking pictures for days!! and it is time to stop fussin and get this post finished before Christmas is over and done with!!

I will start off with showing you the fireplace area.  This is such a cozy part of our home. Since the dining room, kitchen and fireplace area is all an open floor plan nobody is ever left out of the action.

I have enjoyed Scandinavian Christmas touches this year....just simple and a few touches of red here and there.

I kept my eye on this sign at Michaels, and the other day it went on sale!

More of the simple glass bottles with a sprig of everygreen and a white candle
A new favorite!

I would say this buck is standing proud!

I use a lot of wreaths in my decorating...
I just bought the plastic snowflakes at the Dollar Store.
They filled in some dead space on the wooden backdrop

Found these lanterns at JYSK and just added the twine and greenery
I like the little bit of detail on the black top.

Sometimes standing on the table just gives you the perspective you needed!!

Thanks for stopping by for part 1 of my Christmas, woodland, country tour!!
