April 12th was Ben's birthday!! Of course, I can't believe he is 18 and it makes me happy and sad all at the same time. I decided to make a "1 8 " birthday cake for him, and his girlfriend, Courtney, also wanted to make him a cake...so lets just say we "ate cake"! I borrowed a really cool pan. The pan allows you to make any letter or number and you just use the squares to block off the area that will make the letter or number. It was very simple to use.
Nothing fancy.... I covered some cardboard with some scrapbooking paper and used my Cricut machine to make the letters and a couple of shapes.
These are some of our dearest friends...Ruth and I have been friends for over 20 years!! She babysat my kids and have been at all the birthday parties!! Her daughter Erin, to the left of Ben, is all grown up now with babies of her own! Her four little ones are the sweetest and we are having fun loving another generation of kidlets!!

My son turned 18 last summer - talk about a milestone birthday. The cakes look awesome! Your family is beautiful!
